With the launch of our refreshed mission statement to start 2025, we also felt it was time to better define our internal Core Values. We’re excited to introduce our new organizational Core Values as UMassFive CARES, refreshing our SMART Core Values.

What are Core Values and why are they important?

  • Core Values define us—they exist to summarize our principles.
  • Core Values guide us—they serve as a compass and direct us to stay on track.
  • Core Values attract us—they provide potential employees and members with a snapshot of what we care most about, and if there’s alignment between their priorities and ours.
